We are the creators of Matomo, the leading open-source web analytics solution that empowers individuals with complete control over their data and built-in privacy features. We have exciting challenges to tackle, and we need your expertise!
We operate as a fully remote team, collaborating online. As a small and flexible team, you'll play a crucial role in engineering, helping us enhance our products and deliver an exceptional experience to our customers.
🛠️ Your Daily Activities
- 👨🔧 Maintain, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve our AWS-hosted SaaS web analytics platform.
- 🛡️ Ensure the platform's security, speed, constant availability, and up-to-date status.
- 🦸♀️ Take ownership of technical issues and collaborate with the team to resolve advanced problems when necessary.
- 📝 Document the infrastructure and processes to ensure smooth operations.
- 📞 Participate in an on-call rotation (two-thirds of the time, including nights and weekends) to provide support when needed.
🌟 Qualifications
- 👨💻 5+ years of commercial experience in product development with PHP.
- 💪 Strong proficiency in PHP, SQL performance optimization, and security best practices.
- 🐧 Familiarity with Linux command line.
- 🧪 Skilled at writing automated tests and reviewing code.
- 🌐 Experience with JavaScript.
- 📊 Strong analytical skills and a passion for understanding complex business logic.
- 🗣️ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- 👤 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 📞 Willingness to provide on-call support.
🌍 Location
- 🌐 This is a 100% remote work position. However, European candidates must be willing to work a minimum of 4 hours overlapping with New Zealand time per week.
