💾 What you’ll do

Join our Scality Storage Squad in France as a highly skilled Software Engineer. You'll participate in developing our data stores using C, Python, and Go in a Linux environment. Our goal is to deliver a quality product that stands the test of time, and your work on our distributed system will directly impact hundreds of customers and millions of end users.

Responsibilities

• Design new features for our storage systems
• Develop and test them
• Document your work
• Help troubleshoot code when needed
• Review designs, code, tests, and documentation from your peers

Requirements

• Significant experience with system programming in C on Linux on multi-threaded software
• Experience working on distributed systems
• Ability to design architecture to solve problems at high scale
• Knowledge of software testing, what to test, and when
• Familiarity with Git
• Comfort working in an English-speaking environment
• BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience

Bonus

• Knowledge of storage technologies
• Performance tuning
• Experience with Python and/or Go
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies

🏢 Office

Scality is an international company with R&D split between Paris and San Francisco, with offices in Tokyo, London, and more. Our EMEA headquarters is a modern, spacious office in Paris's 8th arrondissement (Madeleine), with all the amenities: showers, gym, cafeteria, table tennis, foosball, board games, and more. Engineers can work remotely 2-3 days per week.
