π Systems Engineer
We're looking for a Systems Engineer to help us solve engineering challenges, keep our systems running, and provide the best service for our customers. You'll work alongside other System, Software, and Network engineers, constantly learning and gaining knowledge to become the next top-level talent.
What You'll Do:
- π οΈ Design, develop, and implement new features for our web hosting product.
- βοΈ Deploy and run our infrastructure using IaC and automation tools.
- π Operate systems and services by measuring and monitoring availability, performance, latency, capacity, reliability, and overall system health.
- π Constantly evolve and refine systems and services by pushing for changes that remove performance bottlenecks and improve reliability.
- π¨ Constantly evolve and refine monitoring and alerting to alert on symptoms, not outages.
- π§βπ« Provide guidance to other team members on best practices for developing, deploying, and maintaining highly reliable systems and services.
- π Take part in incident response and blameless postmortems.
What We Expect:
- π§ Strong Linux OS experience.
- π€ Proficiency in Ansible automation tools.
- π 3+ years of experience in web hosting or related fields.
- π Proficient programming/scripting skills in Python, Bash, or another relevant language.
- π» Experience with web servers, databases, and caching technologies.
- βοΈ Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as GCP.
- π΅οΈ Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- π€ Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Nice-to-haves:
- π οΈ Experience with DevOps practices.
- π Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- εΌζΊ Experience with open-source software.
- π§ CloudLinux OS experience.
- βοΈ Knowledge of cPanel/DirectAdmin.
- π Ability to read and understand Golang and PHP code.
- π RHCSA, RHCE.
