Senior Fullstack Developer (Backend Focus) - Shaping the Future of Online Music Education (Remote from Belgium / France near Paris)

Are you a seasoned Fullstack developer with a passion for backend systems and a strong command of Typescript and Cloud technologies? Do you thrive in building from the ground up and want to play a pivotal role in revolutionizing online music education for a world-leading brand? If so, this position at Open Studio might be for you.

While our current Website was built using off-the-shelf technology by a single co-founder with the help of external agencies, we are now ready to build our own tech platform that will directly contribute to making our users’ jazz learning journey more interactive, engaging and exciting. We also want to more thoroughly leverage analytics to optimize our user acquisition and retention.

Key responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for architecting, building and operating the cloud backend services of our future app(s), working with the CTO and Frontend developers;
• Integrate Vector search and LLM services making our content discoverable and serving the right content to the right people at the right time
• Integrate Thirdparty services for Marketing analytics and operations;
• Contribute to the Frontend of music-learning apps in React Native when capacity allows;
• Participate in hiring for other positions in the tech team.

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as Backend or Fullstack developer
• Proven track record in Typescript development (Node.JS, Lambda, React or similar framework)
• Proven track record of architecting production-grade Cloud services (AWS or GCP highly desired)
• Work experience with Google Analytics, Meta Ads, etc.
• Work experience with at least one SQL and one No-SQL database
• Experience in mentoring junior team members

Nice to have:

• Experience with Wordpress / PHP
• Experience with Firebase / Supabase
• Experience with Vector search / Generative AI
• Musical knowledge

The CTO as your people manager is based in Brussels, and we are looking for candidates who will be available for meeting in Brussels or Paris - initially a few times per month, with the option of joining a small tech office in 2026. Details to be discussed.
