Software Engineer (Flutter)

We're looking for software engineers to help us build our Flutter app!

Product

The ShamanX app aims to provide its users with a wide variety of tips around personal development, written by either professional coaches or from the community. Our goal is to deliver the right advice at the right moment, help people set goals, and monitor their progress. We're looking for the "aha moment", when you really feel that you just got the real meaning of an idea, and just learned a small life lesson.

You would join a small team right when we're about to release our product to the public.

Environment

Right now we're located at WeWork in the Marais district, where we have our own private office. The atmosphere is great, and our small scale allows every team member to have a huge impact on the direction which the product and the company take.

Tech team and challenges

Our team includes 3 software engineers with 5+ years of experience.

We've chosen cutting-edge tools and technologies to build our platform. The ShamanX app is 100% Flutter based.

We come from the native world, so when we chose a cross-platform framework, it wasn't because it was cheap, it was because it felt right. We have no regret so far :)

We believe in robust unit-tested codebases, continuous deployment, and agility. Every line of code is cross-reviewed, a rule that we believe is good for our product health and helps us learn from each other.

You + ShamanX

We're looking for someone with good experience of native mobile platform frameworks (Android or iOS), and maybe with reactive UI frameworks such as React, React Native or Flutter.

But as much as we'd love a great Flutter expert, the thing we value above all is a good engineering culture, and curiosity for a wide variety of tech topics. By working with us, you'll get to review code from the app and the backend, maybe also some frontend. You'll be part of fundamental decision-making around the platform and its architecture, and you'll help us monitor the scaling of our whole system.
