About the role 🌎

• Work within an international group of teams spanning from the US to India, responsible for creating and managing reference data for broadcast and streaming stations across the continental US.
• Collect and process data from meters in panelists' homes for television audience measurement.
• As a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer, help increase speed of delivery, improve code quality/security, and optimize processes for the development team.
• Identify bottlenecks in development and delivery processes, work with team members to improve them, and enhance the overall developer experience.

Responsibilities 🛠️

• Work closely with Tech Leads and developers to assess problems and develop process improvement solutions.
• Proactively detect upcoming bottlenecks and production issues, and consult teams on improved technical solutions.
• Participate in planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects.
• Execute plans by building coding standardizations and automating processes for the organization.
• Perform daily tasks such as environmental health checks, disk space monitoring, and environmental status reports.
• Maintain and grow knowledge of platform configuration management and troubleshooting.
• Actively participate in deploying application artifacts to target environments using supported technologies and infrastructure.
• Survey developers and technical members to understand pain points in the coding and development process.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deliver consistent and holistic solutions to the organization.

Key skills 🔑

• 6+ years of experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer on a cross-functional agile team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering.

Technical Skills 💻

• Excellent coding and scripting skills (Bash, Python) and experience implementing high-scale cloud architectures using modern, cloud-based container platforms (PaaS/SaaS).
• Working knowledge of deployment automation solutions (i.e., Terraform, Helm, etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and cluster management tools like Kubernetes, Docker, configuration management, and monitoring.
• Experience with continuous integration and related tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar, etc.
• Experienced with building, debugging, operating systems, databases, and infrastructure at scale.
