Who We Are Looking For
You will be responsible for delivering Mujin controllers and pendants of high quality and with a fast production cycle time. This includes:
- Interfacing with suppliers and overseeing their performance
- Managing the in-house production process
- Designing or building automated tools to ensure product functionality and reliability
- Providing technical support to internal customers regarding product usage and troubleshooting
- Working closely with other teams (software development, system integration) to ensure smooth delivery of the robotics system to customers
Responsibilities
- Provision hardware and perform functional tests. Ensure the quality of finished goods.
- Develop standard operating procedures and provide training to operators.
- Perform or instruct operators to perform incoming quality checks of raw materials and other manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support on product hardware to internal customers.
- Troubleshoot production tools and work with the corresponding team to fix problems.
- Design and build hardware and software tools to improve productivity and quality, with good documentation of the design.
- Repair or direct the corresponding supplier to repair defective products.
- Carry out failure analysis on defective products and find the root cause.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment, jigs, and tools.
- Monitor production area environment conditions and maintain cleanliness and tidiness.
- Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing-related issues.
Requirements
- Business level of English or Japanese
- Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in related engineering areas: product engineering, manufacturing/production engineering and operations, service operations
- Skilled in using soldering tools and other hand tools like crimping tools
- Good understanding of Linux and experience using it
- Experience using Git
- Ability to create and review electrical and mechanical drawings
- Ability to understand C/C++, Python code, and Bash script
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming

Work Hours
8:45 - 17:45 (with a 60-minute break)
