Job Summary:

• Design, implement, and manage messaging infrastructure using Kafka and Apache ActiveMQ (AMQ) for fintech and banking domains.
• Enhance reliability, scalability, and performance of real-time data exchange systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data integration and communication between microservices and applications.

Responsibilities:

• Messaging Platform Management:
  • Design, deploy, and administer Kafka and AMQ clusters optimized for fintech and banking.
  • Ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Performance Optimization:
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and challenges related to messaging infrastructure.
  • Ensure optimal system efficiency within fintech and banking operations.
• Data Integration:
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate Kafka and AMQ messaging capabilities into applications and microservices.
  • Facilitate real-time data exchange critical for financial transactions and insights.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve messaging-related problems in a timely manner.
• Security and Access Control:
  • Ensure messaging infrastructure is protected from unauthorized access.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
• Capacity Planning:
  • Perform capacity planning exercises to scale the messaging infrastructure based on fintech and banking needs.
• Documentation:
  • Create comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Automation:
  • Develop automation scripts and tools specific to fintech and banking requirements.
• Research and Innovation:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in messaging technologies within fintech and banking.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for potential improvements and competitive advantages.

Requirements:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
  • 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Kafka and AMQ messaging systems in a production environment within the fintech or banking sectors.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Apache Kafka, Apache ActiveMQ, and related messaging protocols.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures within financial operations.
  • Experience with stream processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka Streams, Apache Flink) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial for fintech and banking deployments.
• Programming Skills:
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, etc.) to work on integration and automation tasks within fintech and banking environments.
• Problem-Solving:
  • Proactive and analytical approach to troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Communication:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
