🚗 About Woven by Toyota 🚗
Woven by Toyota is contributing to Toyota's once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by our history of continuous invention "for the sake of others," our mission is to expand the definition of mobility, enhance its societal contributions, and challenge the status quo with human-centered innovation.
We operate around four pillars: AD/ADAS (Autonomous Driving/Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) technology, Arene (a vehicle software production platform for SDVs - Software Defined Vehicles), Woven City (a mobility test course), and Cloud & AI (digital infrastructure supporting collaboration platforms). Essential business functions also support these teams, working together to achieve a "zero-accident society" and "mass production of happiness."
✨ About the Team ✨
In-cabin monitoring systems that detect unsafe driver behaviors like distraction or eye closure are becoming standard safety features. However, various challenges remain. For instance, performance can be affected by individual facial differences or driving environments, and systems must also handle cases where parts of the face are obscured by glasses or hair.
Our goal for the next-generation In-Cabin Monitoring System (IMS) is to develop a more robust system that can handle diverse use cases. The system will monitor whether drivers maintain appropriate attention levels based on the level of automation and driving conditions.
