We're seeking a Social Media Script Writer/Video Editor with a storyteller's heart and a filmmaker's eye. You'll craft compelling content that resonates with audiences in under a minute. If you have a unique creative vision, a talent for comedy, strong scripting skills, and experience in video editing and motion graphics, this role is for you. A passion for humor, action, thrillers, and drama is essential. Whether it's a funny skit, an emotional trailer, or an action-packed sequence, you know how to tell a story that connects.

We collaborate with top entertainment brands and support in-person events that connect creators and fans. Our marketing team is at the forefront of entertainment innovation, and we're looking for creative voices to engage our fans, promote our creators, and grow our audience.

You'll work closely with our Organic and Growth Marketing teams to bring the WEBTOON universe to life through bold, emotional, and fan-first social and digital content. If you're fascinated by how visual storytelling thrives on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, and perhaps have your own presence in the webcomic or fandom space, this is your opportunity. Bonus points if you can voice your own characters or are comfortable on camera!

🌟 What You’ll Do 🌟

• Conceptualize, script, and edit short-form video content that tells a compelling story, using strong hooks and cliffhangers to capture attention. Develop content across genres, from humor to romance and action.
• Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and art directors to create dynamic, character-driven content tailored for each platform.
• Develop series promos, trailers, and explainer content that deepen fans' connection to the WEBTOON universe.
• Create expressive animations from comic panels to enhance our characters, worlds, and themes in surprising and delightful ways.
• Seamlessly transition between producing high-quality motion design and quick-turn, unpolished social videos.
• Infuse your unique storytelling perspective into projects, creating engaging and entertaining ads that feel authentic.
• Stay current with fan culture, animation trends, memes, and narrative formats popular with Gen Z and Millennial audiences.

💡 Who You Are 💡

• 3+ years of professional experience in a creative agency, production company, or in-house entertainment team, with a focus on ad content, trailers, branded content, or entertainment marketing.
• A storyteller at heart, with a strong understanding of pacing, emotion, and structure.
• Skilled in copywriting and scripting, eager to explore new writing styles and formats.
• A clear and reliable communicator, adept at working in a fast-paced production environment and collaborating with leads to deliver projects on time, on brand, and on budget.
• Proficient in Premiere Pro and After Effects, with a solid understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition). Additional animation or VFX tools are a plus. 3D animation experience is a bonus.
• Comfortable with character rigging and possesses a strong grasp of animation principles.
• A creative with a strong online presence or portfolio. Bonus if you have existing content or fan edits in the webcomic, animation, or fandom space.
• Equally confident working independently or as part of a team, managing projects from start to finish.
• Passionate about comics, animation, gaming, or storytelling in any form.
• Brings humor, heart, and a creative eye to all your work.
• A positive, adaptable teammate who creates from passion, not ego. You value a collaborative and enjoyable process.
• Eager to learn new skills and elevate your craft as a designer or writer to promote new ideas and enhance work quality.

• A portfolio/reel showcasing professional motion design and storytelling work. Please include examples that highlight your unique tone of voice, artistic range, and creative point of view. We want to see your storytelling instincts, not just your technical abilities.

💰 Salary Range 💰

$40 -$50 / hourly
