The AD/ADAS (Autonomous Driving and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) organization at Woven by Toyota is dedicated to developing core algorithms and data-driven infrastructure for safe and robust driving in complex real-world environments. We contribute to next-generation autonomy and ADAS active safety systems through cutting-edge algorithms, data-driven approaches, and efficient architectures.

Our Chief of Staff office directly supports the Head of Global AD/ADAS and the global leadership team. This office focuses on executive communications, resource management, special projects, and ensuring leadership alignment on critical organizational priorities.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will collaborate closely with the AD/ADAS Chief of Staff, global operations functions (Legal, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Facilities, Marketing, etc.), and other Chief of Staff offices within Woven by Toyota. Your efforts will advance our mission to develop superior autonomy applications using state-of-the-art methods, tools, and processes for Toyota.

The Chief of Staff office seeks a strategic, organized, and analytical business generalist. This individual will demonstrate exceptional business judgment, excel at using financial and operational data to influence cross-functional stakeholders, and effectively navigate complex business scenarios to drive improvements and support the team.

The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying opportunities or roadblocks early, building proactive strategies. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential for ensuring strategic initiatives roll out smoothly across the organization. Responsibilities

  • Lead and support special projects for the AD/ADAS line of business.
  • Liaise and align with key cross-functional groups (Legal, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Facilities, Marketing, etc.) to support AD/ADAS development.
  • Develop strategic messaging and content for executive communications.
  • Pre-align with stakeholders and prepare the Head of AD/ADAS for meetings in advance.
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems before they reach the Head of AD/ADAS.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner and advisor to the Chief of Staff and leadership team.
  • Support leadership and the Chief of Staff in strategic planning by providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Find opportunities to streamline operational processes and implement best practices across the organization.
  • Analyze overall business risks and propose mitigation strategies.

🎓 Minimum Qualifications 🎓

  • 8+ years of professional experience in business development, business operations, management consulting, or technology.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfort working with dashboards, business intelligence tools, spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel and Google Sheets), and AI-based tools.
  • Consistent track record of delivering results with large-scale, cross-functional global projects and leading multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Able and willing to travel somewhat frequently to various global offices (Palo Alto, Ann Arbor, London, and Tokyo) for critical business projects/meetings.

Nice to Haves

  • Global mindset, understanding how cultural differences can impact communication.
  • Experience in the automotive industry, particularly in AD/ADAS or related technology fields.
  • Fluent in Japanese.
  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

💰 Compensation & Benefits 💰

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA, the base pay ranges from 140,000140,000 - 230,000 per year.

Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short-term and long-term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
