✨ About the role(s)

Veterinary professionals enter this field to heal animals, not to wrestle with spreadsheets or fight with clunky billing software. Yet, a modern veterinary clinic is a complex business that needs to be managed efficiently to survive and thrive.

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to fill one of two distinct roles: one focused on Commercial Workflows (Finance) and one focused on Practice Intelligence (Data).

Regardless of which role you step into, your mission is the same: bring consumer-grade simplicity to a high-volume, power-user environment. You will turn the "boring" administrative side of a clinic into a superpower! 🚀

The Two Roles

1. Principal PM: Commercial Workflow (Finance)
You will own the "Transactional Engine" of the practice.

• The Focus: Invoicing, Estimates, Payments, and Accounts Receivable.
• The Challenge: How do you make a complex multi-payer invoice feel as simple as a Shopify checkout? You will design the workflows that ensure clinics get paid faster and with less friction, streamlining the daily financial interactions between the front desk and the pet owner.

2. Principal PM: Practice Intelligence (Data & Reporting)
You will own the "Strategic Brain" of the practice.

• The Focus: Performance Reporting, Dashboards, and Analytics.
• The Challenge: How do you turn a million rows of data into a clear story? You will move our users beyond static spreadsheets to actionable insights, helping Practice Owners answer questions like "Which services are driving my growth?" or "How is my provider efficiency trending?" at a glance.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Own the Strategy: Whether it's the future of payments or the future of analytics, you will define the 12-18 month vision for your product area.
• Design for Power Users: Our users live in this app all day. You will champion "high-efficiency UX"—reducing clicks, streamlining workflows, and ensuring that complex tasks feel simple and snappy.
• Simplify the Complex: You will take heavy, logic-dense requirements (tax rules, provider production logic, insurance split-payments) and work with Design to render them with the clarity of a modern consumer app.
• Drive Execution: Lead a cross-functional squad (Engineering, Design, QA) to ship features that are robust enough for accounting accuracy but intuitive enough for a busy front-desk team.

What will help you to be successful in this role?

Ideally, you have already gained some experience from working in a fast growing, global SaaS company. We are looking for product leaders who love the challenge of making "work tools" feel like "life tools." The essentials:

• 8+ Years of Product Experience: You have a track record of shipping successful SaaS products. You have likely worked on B2B platforms or vertical SaaS where the user relies on the software to do their job.
• A "Design-First" Mindset: You don't just throw fields on a form. You care deeply about the interaction design. You understand that for a busy vet tech holding a cat in one hand and typing with the other, UI clarity is a safety feature.
• Business Fluency: You are comfortable discussing the mechanics of a business. You understand that a clinic isn't just a hospital; it's a small business that needs to track revenue, manage margins, and forecast growth.
• A Force Multiplier: Whether it’s using AI to generate mock data for a dashboard or spinning up a quick UI prototype to communicate a concept, you use modern tools to get to "better" faster. You inspire and enable your team to do the same.

The Differentiators (By Role)

• For Finance Candidates: You understand the "money movement" lifecycle. You have experience with checkout flows, ledgers, or billing systems and know how to minimize friction in financial transactions.
• For Data Candidates: You are a data storyteller. You understand visualization best practices and know how to design dashboards that answer questions rather than just displaying numbers.
