About Us:
Estuaire is a climate tech startup that uses satellite data to help the aviation industry reduce its climate impact. We are a small, passionate team of scientists, engineers, and designers who are committed to making a difference.
The Role:
As a Data Scientist & Product Developer at Estuaire, you will be part of our technical team and work closely with our co-founder in charge of technology. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks across data science and product development, including:
Data Science:
- Further develop our analytics platform and the scalability of our storage, analytics, extraction, and displaying capabilities.
- Build and own our E-tracker data ingestion and cleaning pipeline and processes.
- Document the technical functioning and structure of the E-tracker database.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in data science and analytics techniques.
Climate Science & Aviation:
- Develop a full ownership of our contrails analytics by internalizing its computations and limiting our dependence on external APIs.
- Support the modeling of statistical or physics-based aircraft performance.
Product Development:
- Develop low-code interfaces and associated queries on Retool.
- Integrate Retool apps into an internally developed web tool, eventually with the help of freelancers.
- Perform demos in front of customers, contribute to discovery with prospects, and conduct customer interviews to understand their needs and propose adequate product solutions.
What We're Looking For:
- A strong foundation in data science and machine learning.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- A passion for climate science and sustainability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
