What you'll do
- Member of the System IVV team and perform integration and test of various features of the LightSpeed system
- Develop/maintain test cases, test beds required for various Test cases.
- Hands-on testing in the Leo Lab for various data path and routing features.
- Work with other segments like DevOps, Ground Systems, Satellite, and foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Ensure product under test meets technical, functional, performance, and business requirements
- Work as part of a scrum team in an Agile development environment.
- Keep the lab functional and update with known hardware and software configuration to execute various test scenarios as necessary.
What you'll need to get the job done
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience with hands-on testing with various networking technologies
- At least 5 years of experience in one or more networking technologies including but not limited to LEO satellite communications, mesh networking, edge computing platforms, network encryption, etc.
- At least 2 years of experience in MEF protocol and standards.
- Strong knowledge of IP/TCP/Routing fundamentals
- Preferred experience in SR-MPLS.
- Experience with CI/CD and simulated software testing methodologies.
- Experience with various IP Test equipment like Ixia
- Experience with cloud technology, virtualization, and containerization.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
- Familiar with various Atlassian tools like Jira.
- Automation experience with programming languages like Python
- The successful candidate must be able to legally work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
