About the job
The Data & Managed Services product team consists of Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers who partner through squads with Engineering Managers, DevOps, Product designers, and Technical Writers, among others, to design, build, deploy, and maintain the products within Scaleway's Data & Managed Services product ecosystem. Data & Managed Services products include Managed Databases, Messaging, Transactional Email, and Web hosting products, among others.
Reporting to the Head of Data & Managed Service products, you will be responsible for defining the Managed Observability products' Vision and strategy and for building the roadmap to achieve it. Because of your strategic position within the team as a PM, you will be the "go-to" person for all Observability product-related topics, both internally and externally. You will be in direct contact with internal developers, Marketing teams, Sales teams, Support teams, and customers daily!
Cockpit is the Scaleway monitoring product that allows users to monitor their Scaleway infrastructure and applications easily from a fully managed observability solution. With over a trillion data points ingested each month and several tens of Terabytes, Cockpit is a cornerstone for the monitoring activities of our customers.
We designed Cockpit so they can quickly and easily send their data from their applications to monitor their metrics, logs, and traces in a single interface. Regardless of their application's size or the data volume they want to manage, Cockpit automatically adapts to their demand. Moreover, Cockpit is fully powered by open-source technologies to keep customers' learning curve as fast as possible.
Cockpit is the very first product of our Observability product ecosystem that will continue developing with the lead of our new Product manager!
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for our Managed Observability offering, aligning with overall company business objectives
- Create and maintain a product roadmap, outlining key features in collaboration with your squad
- Identify user pain and needs through user research and deliver value incrementally
- Conduct thorough market research to have an up-to-date view of the competitive landscape and emerging trends
- Define key metrics to assess the product's health, analyze feature performance, and generate insights
- Work closely with all your Squad members to define product requirements, prioritize features, and drive the development and launch of features and products
- Support clients, Sales, and Marketing daily
- Contribute to product content creation (white papers, blog posts, conferences, etc.)
Minimum qualifications
- Senior experience as a Product manager
- Experience working in complex technical environments and for technical audiences
- Ability to build an impactful Product strategy and execute it
- Proven success in leading cross-functional initiatives in a fast-growing company
- Proficiency in oral and written English & French
Preferred qualifications
- Empathy for technical audiences towards a better Developer Experience (DX)
- Knowledge of the Cloud market, especially Observability products such as monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog…), logging tools, tracing solutions, on-call duty tools (Opsgenie, PagerDuty…) etc.
- Experience as a user in deploying and operating resources on the Cloud
