Job description
Brigad is growing the R&D team and has open a new Tech office in Lille. With its ideal location and talented ecosystem, Lille is a great opportunity for Brigad to pursue our fast growth and ambitious objectives.
To tackle this great challenge we are looking for our new Engineering Manager ! You’ll directly report to the Head of Engineering. He will onboard you on all your missions to make sure you have everything you need to be successful.
What you will do
- Hiring the team. With the help of the HR team, you’ll be in charge of finding and hiring talents that match our culture and technical expertise. We’re looking for people passionate about their job, eager to learn and to share knowledge.
- Manage the team. Your mission is to make your team succeed. We pay special attention to individuals, you will be expected to make regular HR follow-ups, know your teammates and guide them through the career path that match their aspiration as well as the company goals.
- Grow the employer brand. You develop a strong relationship with the local tech environment. You organise meet-up and workshops around topics related to our stack. You do everything in your power to make sure Brigad is a recognised tech brand. To help you in this mission, you can count on the support of the all tech team.
- Coordinate the delivery. We think big, but move fast. Our R&D organisation is designed to help the team to deliver high value-added projects at a high frequency. You will be a key part of this organisation and help teams to coordinate and deliver. The R&D team is split in different offices but remains One big Unit.
**Profil **
To complete this tasks, we are looking for someone who :
- Had a confirmed experience at a technical position (software developer, ops, data or other).
- Is looking to help people grow as professionals and transition to a more management oriented role.
- Is well-connected with the Lillois ecosystem.
- Is a team player who understands that the success of the project depends on the efficiency of the team.
- Fluent in English.
- Great communication to make the team feels we are all in the same office !
Will be considered a plus :
- First experience as a tech manager/tech lead.
- Experienced with Javascript (any framework).
- Experience in organising tech events.
