Team Organization 👥
- The cybersecurity team at Veepee is responsible for identifying and fixing security weaknesses, conducting audits and assessments, and implementing security measures across the organization.
- The team emphasizes automation, using scripting languages and DevSecOps technologies, and shares its code openly with the community.
🎯 Tasks
As an IT Security Engineer at Veepee, you will:
- Ensure the security of Veepee's information systems and data on a day-to-day basis.
- Work with the IT Security team and other VeepeeTech teams to identify and remediate technical and organizational weaknesses, risks, and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the VeepeeTech department to integrate security measures into all aspects of the organization's operations.
- Proactively audit and search for undetected threats within the organization's IT environment and develop and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Build and spread security hardening measures across IT infrastructure to minimize threats and protect against attacks.
- Actively participate in purple team exercises, combining efforts of both red and blue teams to enhance cybersecurity through collaborative attack and defense mechanisms optimization.
- Report activities, define and follow steps to reach objectives, and help the team improve their skills.
👉 Must-Have Skills
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and natural curiosity to learn and improve Veepee's IT security maturity.
- Experience with IT audits, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Infrastructure, architecture, and Dev(Sec)Ops skills.
- Proficiency in coding and scripting languages relevant to security automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and the integration of security tools within them.
- Understanding of on-premise and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security best practices.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and how to secure them.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for managing and securing infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification in cybersecurity or DevOps (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or DevOps-related certifications) is a plus.
- Fluency in French and English.
