Team:

Voodoo's Gaming team consists of hybrid-casual, casual, and mid-core experts. The 'Core' games team supports internal and external studios worldwide in creating, developing, and launching new hit games, while the 'Live' games team focuses on delivering higher engagement on existing successful games.

Joining the Live games team means collaborating with gaming industry experts on globally renowned, enduring games while embracing exciting new entrepreneurial ventures. Voodoo is creating a small experimentation team with a big mission: find the next best way to entertain the world by taking their best hits to a new level. As one of the first members of a six-person team, you'll participate in every aspect of development, from ideation to testing casual games in the market.

You'll be joining one of Voodoo's Live Studios, working on Bag Fight.

Role:

Voodoo is seeking a talented Creative Director with a solid understanding of the midcore mobile game market to help the team deliver fun, innovative, and entertaining games. Responsibilities include:

  • Defining a clear, cohesive design pipeline for a Live Game
  • Influencing the roadmap and product vision as the studio's copilot
  • Pitching and implementing big features to the team, breaking them down into smaller components
  • Owning game balancing, pacing, and feel
  • Backing up ideas with available data points
  • Deconstructing and analyzing mobile game mechanics
  • Getting involved in all aspects of game development: UI, UX, game design, logic, performance, etc.
  • Helping fine-tune game balancing, pacing, and feel
  • Benchmarking the market to stay on top of new trends
  • Understanding models and tools to analyze gameplay and user behavior
  • Building communities around the game

Profile:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a game designer or in a product-related role on a Live Game, with strong knowledge of system design and game economy
  • Experience working on casual or midcore mobile games and F2P
  • Creative and hacker mindset
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented mindset
  • Accountability, independence, and responsibility when given ownership over your work
  • Familiarity with Unity and Figma (a plus)
  • Proficiency in Excel for initial balancing tasks (a plus)
