Backend Tech Lead (Go)

🌟 YOUR ROLE WILL BE

• We are looking for a passionate senior backend engineer to build and scale the services powering our interactive web application. You will join a multidisciplinary and multicultural product team (back, front, QA engineers, product owners, UX/UI designers...). Today we are around 50 people in the tech team.

🌟 YOUR MISSION WILL BE

• Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code).
• You build your own team as you will be the first 100% Go developer in Hivebrite.
• Develop integrations with 3rd party software (API, GeoLoc, Imports/Exports).
• Design, develop, test and implement new features (performance).
• We want from you that you try new things. POC is a cool word :)
• Be a leader on sharing knowledge.
• Animate debates on our technical challenges, then take a decision.

🌟 YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF

• 2/3 + years of programming experience in Go, and some years on other language.
• Experience working on backend systems at a large-scale internet service.
• Knowing GRPC.
• Track record of designing and implementing complex and scalable software services.
• Experience architecting, deploying and operating asynchronous work queues, high-volume storage systems, and high-throughput systems.
• Understand the trade-offs in employing different engineering solutions to a problem, valuing pragmatism over idealism.
• Docker has no secret for you.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment.
• You have a great oral and written communication in English 🇺🇸.

🌟 NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience in document oriented databases like Elasticsearch.
• Deep knowledge in microservices architectures.
• Comfortable with DevOps aspects.
• Open-source contributions.
