42dot's Android Engineer (UI framework) optimizes IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment), a core system of SDV (Software Defined Vehicle), based on Android Automotive and develops key middleware and applications that are competitive in the business.

Responsibilities 💼

• Optimization and customization of Android automotive-based UI framework
• Development of Android automotive-based system UI and launcher

Qualifications 🎓

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferably in engineering)
• 5+ years of experience in Android/Linux-based embedded system development
• Experience in Linux-based UI framework development or optimization
• Proficiency in C++, JAVA/Kotlin, and other major languages for Android/Linux-based embedded systems

Preferred Qualifications 🎖️

• Experience in 3D graphics development (OpenGL, Vulkan, Google Filament, Unity, Unreal, etc.)
• Experience or understanding of Android window manager
• Experience or understanding of Android surface flinger
• Experience or understanding of Android system UI, launcher development
• Understanding of UI frameworks for Linux-based embedded systems (Tizen, AGL, GENIVI, CCOS, WebOS)
• Understanding of Android platform in general

Interview Process 📋

• Document screening - Coding test - Video interview (about 1 hour) - Face-to-face or video interview (about 3 hours) - Final pass
