We are researching and developing new remote services that apply our proprietary XR technology. Our mission is to develop products reflecting the results of this research with our partner company and provide them to Woven City and others.

We are trying to develop a full-stack product from our research by bringing together engineers from various fields.


Who Are We Looking For? 🔍

We are seeking passionate engineers eager to commercialize and popularize cutting-edge technologies under research.

You will design and implement an application that analyzes and understands the context of conversations, the situation of users, and the progress of meetings in remote communication, fostering a sense of unity among participants.

You will report to the lead of the sub-function. The work style is hybrid (remote and office).


Responsibilities 🛠️

  • Lead research, development, and demonstration of usability in remote communication and seek innovative solutions.
  • Develop technology to automatically estimate the speaker's opinion and stance using multimodal information available during remote communication.
  • Develop technology that recognizes and categorizes agreement and disagreement, interest, and concern with statements and visualizes the progress of meetings and points of conflict.
  • Develop verification applications using the above and verify their effectiveness in the actual user environment.
  • Communicate research plans, status, and other aspects to project stakeholders.
  • Collect data and develop machine learning product/services (build, verify, and deploy models).
  • Propose patents or write research papers and give academic presentations.
  • Follow research papers and the latest technological trends and introduce state-of-the-art technologies in projects.
  • Train team members in the area of expertise and encourage knowledge sharing.

Minimum Qualifications 🎓

  • Master's or PhD degree in computer science, data science, psychology, cognitive science, or a related field.
  • Master's or doctoral degrees in fields other than the above and relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • 3+ years of working experience in scene analysis and situation understanding using multimodal information.
  • Experience estimating opinions from the conversational context, estimating participants' aims and intentions, and analyzing the progress of the meeting.
  • Development experience with libraries for machine learning/deep learning.
  • Proficiency in business-level Japanese and commitment to improving English skills.

Nice to Haves ✨

  • Quick implementation skills from the latest research papers.
  • Experience in developing conference support and facilitation tools.
  • Experience of being accepted to peer-reviewed conferences or papers, etc.
  • Experience in product development using machine learning (i.e., recommendation, emotional estimation, AI-assistant bot, etc.).
  • Development experience with vision, audio, and natural language.
  • Conversation analysis, behavior recognition and analysis, sentiment and emotion analysis, context modeling, discourse analysis, etc.
  • Expertise in the field of psychology or cognitive science.
