Vehicle Application Software Engineer (OTA)

42dot's Vehicle Application Software Engineer (OTA) is responsible for software architecture design and software development of integrated communication systems that connect in-vehicle and wireless communication.

Responsibilities 💼

• Connected Car Service (CCS)

  • Development of CCS system requirements and functions
  • In-vehicle Network (CAN, Ethernet) & Commercial Network (LTE, 5G modem connection, etc.)
  • Development of software middleware and application applications for CCS
  • MCU-based device driver, HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) development

• Vehicle Data Acquisition

  • Development of protocols for in-vehicle data collection (acquisition)
  • Application of policies for variable data collection and technology development

• Remote Control & Monitoring System

  • Development of remote vehicle control and remote diagnostic systems based on commercial communication networks
  • Development of communication protocols and diagnostic protocols

• OTA SW Update System

  • Development of server communication protocols and related applications for OTA
  • Analysis and implementation of relevant standard protocols (OMA-DM, etc.)

• In-Vehicle Gateway

  • Development of CAN & Ethernet Gateway and Gateway systems between heterogeneous networks
  • Implementation of large-capacity data transmission such as cameras/radars and Gateway application functions

Qualifications 📚

• Bachelor's degree or higher and more than 3 years of experience in vehicle SW development
• Experience in writing software requirements analysis and architecture-related design documents
• Experience in carrying out projects related to embedded software development
• Experience in system and application function design and development
• C/C++ language, embedded-related coding skills

Preferred Qualifications 🎖️

• Experience in developing HKMC communication integrated controller (CCU: Central Communication Unit) software
• Development of HKMC CCU standard specifications (function/system/diagnostic specifications) and CCU model deployment
• Business basic English and technical meeting possible

Interview Process 📝

• Document screening - Coding test - Video interview (within 1 hour) - Face-to-face or video interview (within 3 hours) - Final pass
