The Arene Tools Engineering team specifically focuses on streamlining software delivery and enhancing operational speed within the automotive industry. We achieve this by developing advanced test, emulation, and simulation systems. Our goal is to enable quicker software releases and elevate the quality of automotive solutions, all while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety. The Test Rigs team within Tools Engineering delivers "virtual vehicles" through hardware emulation and simulation environments. This supports a "shift-left" approach in software development, catering to the technical requirements of automotive software engineers in collaboration with hardware and software suppliers.

We need engineers adept at creating robust software systems to tackle complex, large-scale challenges. The ability to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and cultivate a collaborative atmosphere is paramount.

✅ Responsibilities ✅

• Design and deliver SystemVerilog HDL for automotive test equipment.
• Contribute to hardware design decisions, particularly involving FPGA implementations.
• Develop drivers, libraries, and reference applications for interacting with test equipment.
• Develop and execute qualification tests to ensure designs meet specified requirements.
• Create user guides and other essential documentation for test equipment implementations.

📚 Minimum Qualifications 📚

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience developing SystemVerilog HDL.
• Software development experience with C or C++.
• Experience integrating time synchronization protocols such as IEEE 1588 or 802.1as.
• Experience designing and building hardware and embedded software systems for robotics, automotive, or similar industries.
• Knowledge or experience with interfaces and protocols commonly used in automotive systems (CAN, Ethernet, SERDES).

💡 Preferred Qualifications 💡

• Experience with electrical and software architectures prevalent in automotive engineering.
• Knowledge or experience with safety standards (ISO 26262, ISO 21448, IEC 61508) and security standards (ISO 21434).

💰 Compensation & Benefits 💰

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA, the base pay ranges from $119,000 to$195,500 annually.

Your base salary is a component of your total compensation. We offer a competitive base salary, short-term and long-term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The total compensation offered will be determined by an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
