About the Projects 🛠️
- Build powerful software solutions using well-established open-source platforms, including VTK, ITK, 3D Slicer, Pulse, CMake, and ParaView.
- Commercial projects involve generating solutions for medical device companies from ultrasound and preclinical imaging companies to surgery device companies.
- Research projects involve collaborations with top research institutions and build on open-source platforms.
About the Internship 📅
- Full-time internship for 6 months, starting on or before January 2025.
- Collaborate with world-class coworkers and external researchers.
Responsibilities ⚙️
- Develop and refine algorithms for medical image analysis, including techniques for feature extraction, object detection, and classification.
- Develop predictive models for the analysis of longitudinal multimodal medical data using advanced techniques.
- Implement and fine-tune machine learning or deep learning models to analyze medical images, ensuring proper evaluation and validation of model performance.
- Deploy software applications and infrastructure used by people every day around the globe to improve the world.
- Encouraged to publish the results of your work in academic papers submitted to premier conferences or journals.
- Produce high-quality software for challenging image analysis problems and contribute to large-scale software infrastructure and open-source projects.
Required Qualifications 🎓
- Enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in computer science or a related field with the corresponding emphasis on scientific computing, medical imaging, computer vision, and/or machine learning.
- Proficiency in C/C++ or Python.
- Experience in designing deep learning models for image understanding problems such as image classification, object detection, and semantic segmentation.
- Familiarity with high-quality software processes, such as unit and integration testing, revision control (Git), documentation, software review, and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
