⭐ We’re looking for a Security Engineer - Devops to join our team - SaaS & SRE team in Paris / Full remote possible !
About the team:
Made up of six subteams (Dashboard, Engine, Infrastructure, Integrations, Threat Research & Security), the DataDome tech team is spread across Europe and the US. We handle over 2 000 billion events per day giving responses within 3ms (99p). We are present in more than 25 data centers around the world, deployed using Docker.
We deploy on AWS, Scaleway, Vultr, and GCP, using Docker, Ansible and Terraform, and monitor with Grafana and Prometheus. We handle an average of 8 billion requests per day and manage more than 300 TB of data per month.
When it comes to our stack, we run real-time detection layer in Java, low latency Stream Engine running on Flink in Scala, ElasticSearch for storage, Kafka for communication between layers, HAProxy for load balancing, Symfony 5 & Angular 9 for our dashboards. We use Slack, GitHub, Hangouts, & StackOverflow for Teams. While previous experience in cyber is not a must, we'll pair you with mentors who will help you bridge the gaps. 👉 You will be more specifically in charge of:
Our DevOps team is currently composed of 5 DevOps Engineers in charge of improving our delivery processes and providing a reliable and scalable platform for our customers.
As a DevOps Engineer you will be part of this team, improving our pipelines, reliability, spreading more security at our infrastructure / middleware layers. More specifically, you will :
- Monitor our platform availability and performance using Grafana/Prometheus/Opsgenie
- Update Elasticsearch cluster in production with zero downtime
- Determine incident root causes and add new alerts to our monitoring platform
- Improve our deployment stack for new Point of Presence using AWS/Azure/GCP or bare metal servers using Terraform and Ansible
- Work in collaboration with development teams to continuously improve their code delivery pipelines using Ansible/Jenkins
- Explore new technologies, imagine how we could leverage them and be aware of critical security issues
👤 It would be great if...
- You have been building pipelines and/or monitoring production environments for 3+ years in the cloud and on premises: AWS, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and ElasticSearch.
- You have a great experience working in Unix/Linux environments and a good knowledge of networking systems
- You care about code security, quality, simplicity and performance
- You have a real passion for automation
- You are familiar with, or ready to take, on-call duties
- You are fluent in English
Contributions:
- Improving our core systems to be able to handle x2 load in the coming months
- Improving our core systems to add scalability in a big data stream context
- Participating to the improvement of our delivery quality with more automation and security
- Taking part in the team agile ceremonies: sprint planning, retros, etc.
👤 What we look for:
- Have 2+ years of experience in (Big) Data processing
- Have a strong experience working in Unix/Linux environments
- Have a good knowledge of cloud providers landscape (especially AWS)
- Care about code quality, simplicity and performance
- Are fluent in English
